For over a decade Mauro Gatti has been at the forefront of new media design in Italy. Humorous, sharp and creative his work has been globally recognized. In 2004, Gatti co-founded Mutado, a creative studio with offices in London and Milan. He began his career as an interactive designer in the mid-90's and became highly influential through his personal space thebrainbox.com. Now he is working on projects in the new media, design and motion graphics fields. His main passion is illustration, Mauro loves to draw and put on paper all the ideas swimming in his head and he believes that a smile is the cheapest way to be happy, that's why he is always trying to capture the more comical side of life and make it a simple but funny and rememberable work. Mauro has developed work for MTV, Nike, Comedy Central, Paramount Comedy, Vodafone, Nickelodeon, 55Dsl and Disney.

One of the writers of the first age, KayOne, class 1972, begin in 1988 at 15 years old. Pioneer in Milan when graffitis only appeared in the american recycled tv series and when the trends took five year to cross the ocean.
Marco Mantovani today is 34 years old and he spend most of the time in his advertising agency MANTOVANI ADV builted with his brother, working as Art Director and painting canvas.
Founder in the early 90's of the first italian graffiti magazine called TRIBE MAGAZINE, he's never given up with his passion for art and graffiti painting, which still today is his everyday life, arranging and taking part of many writing sessions and art exibitions all over Italy.

Uno dei writer italiani della prima ora, KayOne, classe 1972, ha cominciato nel 1988 a 15 anni. Pioniere a Milano quando i graffiti comparivano solo nelle serie riciclate dei telefilm americani e quando le tendenze impiegavano cinque anni per attraversare l’Oceano. Marco Mantovani oggi ha 34 anni e passa gran parte del suo tempo negli uffici dell’agenzia pubblicitaria MANTOVANI ADV, fondata insieme con suo fratello lavorando come Art Director e dipingendo quadri. Fondatore agli inizi degli anni ‘90 della prima fanzine italiana di graffiti “Tribe Magazine”, non ha mai abbandonato la sua passione per l’arte e il writing, che fa parte ancora oggi della sua quotidianità, organizzando e partecipando a numerose manifestazioni di writing ed eventi artistici in tutta Italia.

Mainly engaged in directing the Media Design and New Media Art Department which he founded at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano - NABA in Milan. Professor of Theory and Method of Mass Media in the same institution as well as director of the PhD program M-Node (Planetary Collegium). Senior Fellow of the McLuhan Program in Culture and Technology in Toronto.
